A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Location Details Location:
Leland Surgery Center- Leland, NC Schedule :
Full time 6:30am-2:30pm
Department:
Leland Ambulatory Surgery Center What We're Looking For:
Education :
2 Year/Associate Degree, required. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. 4 Year/Bachelors Degree, preferred.
Experience :
One year of ASC, PACU or operating room experience, preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. ACLS and PALS, preferred. Additional Skills (required): Must have a thorough understanding of role of RN and the ability to carry out the functions as stated in the appropriate relevant state nurse practice act. Ability to set priorities and organize workload of unit. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient's age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Proficient in telephone screening and interviewing skills.
What You'll Do:
Scrub and Circulate for Outpatient Surgical procedures Support patients through General, Ortho GYN, Urology, Plastics, ENT and Podiatry surgical procedures. Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical techs Advocate for patients and ensure a smooth perioperative experience
