Starting at $34.00/hour, based on education, experience, and internal equity

• 7:00am with rotating weekends and holidays Position Overview The RN Resident provides direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse while participating in a structured residency program.

This role supports the physical, psychosocial, and restorative needs of patients and reflects UNC Health Appalachian's mission, vision, and values in every interaction. The New Graduate RN Residency Program is designed for nurses seeking additional support as they transition into practice. Through mentorship, skills labs, preceptorship, and potential specialty rotations, residents gain the confidence and experience needed to thrive in their nursing career. RN Residents do not independently perform RN duties requiring licensure until successful completion of the NCLEX and official RN licensure. Preferred:

Prior healthcare experience (acute care or clinic setting) Interest in exploring specialty areas through residency rotations Certifications (Within 1 Year of Hire, as Applicable)
