Job Description

Overview The Registered Nurse, or RN, is responsible for working with other healthcare professionals to help treat patients with various injuries, illnesses, or disabilities. Their duties include communicating with doctors and other Registered Nurses about patient needs. The Facility Nurse is responsible for assuring the standards and expectations of the program are met consistently. Responsibilities Monitor, record and report symptoms and changes in client behavior. Monitor all aspects of client care including diet and physical activity. Administer medication as prescribed by physicians, change wound dressings and care for other treatment options Perform physical examinations as needed. Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team. Consult supervisors and doctors to decide on the best treatment plan for patients. Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against client care goals and facility or regulatory standards. Protects clients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. Ensuring the safety of the clients and staff by ordering physical restraints if necessary. Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping confidential information. Maintains nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level. Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information and participating in team problem-solving methods. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Knowledge of:
Principles of the Nursing Process, Residential Psychiatric Nursing, Supervision Qualifications Associates or Bachelor Degree in Nursing NC Licensed as Registered Nurse Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or holidays as needed. Commitment to providing compassionate care while adhering to safety protocols and best practices. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nurse Minimum of 1 year of experience with children preferred. $1000 SIGN
