Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-PACU Job Type Travel Step into an essential role supporting patients in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This contract opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced recovery setting. You'll collaborate with experienced healthcare professionals and ensure safe, comfortable transitions for individuals waking from anesthesia.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Active and unrestricted RN license Minimum of 1 year recent nursing experience in a PACU or critical care environment Current BLS and ACLS certifications Demonstrated assessment and monitoring skills with post-anesthesia patients Knowledgeable in post-operative pain and symptom management Strong communication and teamwork abilities Proven attention to detail and critical thinking
Role Responsibilities:
Safely monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia Recognize and respond swiftly to changes in patient condition Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and fellow nurses for coordinated patient care Administer medications and manage IVs as prescribed Document patient progress and post-operative care activities accurately Educate patients and families about post-surgical care and next steps Adhere to facility safety, privacy, and infection control protocols This contract position provides valuable experience in a collaborative clinical environment, allowing you to hone your skills in post-anesthesia care.
