Job Description
Trusted Health is hiring a Pediatric Medical Surgical Nurse to deliver high-quality, family-centered care to children on a busy med-surg unit. In this role, you'll perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, coordinate interdisciplinary care, and support safe transitions from admission through discharge. You'll leverage Trusted's tech-forward, nurse-centric platform for scheduling, documentation support, and clinical resources while working in a collaborative, mission-driven environment focused on improving clinician experience and patient outcomes. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients on a medical-surgical unit, including assessments, medication administration, and care planning Monitor vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment, escalating changes in patient status to providers promptly Coordinate multidisciplinary care with physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure safe, family-centered care Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record and adhere to all clinical and safety protocols Participate in quality improvement, evidence-based practice initiatives, and unit-based projects to enhance patient outcomes Required Skills Pediatric medical-surgical nursing Patient and family education Pediatric medication administration and dosage calculations Electronic health record (EHR) documentation Pediatric assessment and monitoring IV therapy and central line care Care coordination and discharge planning Infection prevention and control Basic life support (BLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
