1 Description American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility position requiring 2 years of LTC experience and an ND or compact RN license. Details Work in a 26-bed Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility unit within an acute care setting Patient population includes residents with heart disease, diabetes, and dementia Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:10 on days and 1:19 on nights Uses MatrixCare (Matrix) EMR charting system 12-hour day shifts scheduled 7am-7pm No blocked scheduling or self-scheduling available Works every other weekend and every other major holiday No IVs, titratable drips, or telemetry monitoring on this unit No on-call or standby requirements First to float among staff, though no floating required off the unit No RT on-site; physician availability by phone on-call after hours PT available as needed and a social worker designee support the unit Requirements Active ND state license or Compact (NLC) RN license required BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required Prior LTC experience required BSN not required for this position Copy of driver's license required for consideration Additional Information Serve as charge nurse, administer medications, and perform wound care No clinical involvement with acute inpatient rehab or interdisciplinary team conferences Off-site pharmacy with no on-site medication dispensing system Oxygen therapy equipment includes concentrators and portable concentrators No specific scrub color required, but attire must be clean and presentable 2-3 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility Candidates may not currently be employed full time, part time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity affiliated facility Up to 7 days of RTO may be requested upfront per 13-week contract, with no additional RTO approved after submission
