Job Description

Position Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) will play a crucial role in our healthcare team by providing direct patient care, assessing patient needs, and ensuring the delivery of safe and effective nursing services. The ideal candidate will have experience in obstetrics (OB) and/or emergency room (ER) settings, bringing expertise and a strong commitment to patient care, but all applicants will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans. Monitor and document patients' vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health conditions, treatment options, and care procedures. Assist with emergency response and stabilization of patients in critical situations. Handle OB-related care, including labor and delivery, prenatal and postnatal care (if applicable). Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska Graduate of an accredited school/college of nursing. Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team. Must be able to take call and respond within 30 minutes. Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required; additional certifications in OB or ER preferred.
