District Administration Position Summary Aurora Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as our District School Nurse. This position provides health services across the district buildings (PK-12), working collaboratively with administrators, teachers, families, and community health providers to support the physical and emotional wellbeing of our students. Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care and first aid/emergency response to students and staff across all district buildings Maintain accurate student health records, immunization documentation, and required state health reporting Administer medications and manage individualized health care plans (e.g., diabetes, asthma, allergies, seizure disorders) Coordinate with families and outside healthcare providers regarding student health needs Conduct or coordinate required health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis, etc.) Support staff training on health-related emergency procedures (e.g., EpiPen use, CPR/First Aid) Serve as a resource to staff on health and safety protocols, including communicable disease management Collaborate with school counselors and administration on student wellness and mental health referrals Assist in district health and safety planning, including emergency preparedness Ensure compliance with Nebraska Department of Education and Nebraska DHHS health requirements Possess high level of professionalism with strong moral and ethical behavior Serve as a positive role model to students of the school and district •

Qualifications Required:
Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Nebraska Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, families, and staff Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities across multiple school buildings Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Preferred:
