A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.
Approximately 40 hours per week Position Summary We are seeking a Registered Nurse II to provide quality healthcare services to students at a Job Corps Center. In this role, you will deliver direct patient care, perform health assessments, administer medications, coordinate referrals, provide health education, and work collaboratively with the Health and Wellness team to support student well-being. Essential Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care within the scope of practice. Conduct health assessments, triage, and routine sick call. Assess and manage minor illnesses and injuries using approved standing orders. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Coordinate referrals to physicians, dentists, specialists, and community healthcare providers. Educate students on disease prevention, nutrition, hygiene, sexual health, and healthy lifestyle practices. Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation. Monitor student progress and provide follow-up care. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary Health and Wellness team. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with Job Corps policies and applicable regulations. Requirements Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program. Current, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where services are performed. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification. Minimum of one (2) year of clinical nursing experience providing direct patient care. Experience in school health, primary care, community health, public health, correctional, or residential healthcare is preferred. Experience working with adolescents or young adults is preferred. Must meet the education, licensure, and credentialing requirements applicable to the Job Corps Registered Nurse II labor category. Must successfully complete all required background screening and maintain required professional credentials throughout employment.
Pay:
