A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Qualified candidates will be Registered Nurses with a current CPR Certification. They will possess high personal integrity, a caring attitude and portray a positive image. The MDS Coordinator has the opportunity to positively interact with residents, guests, family members and team members daily. MDS Nurse Responsibilities:

Assessing and monitoring patients' health in accordance with medical laws, regulations, and guidelines.

Collecting patient data and organizing the information into reports for further research.

Communicating with health care teams to create applicable health care plans for patients.

Ensuring that patients have access to all the medical resources they need.

Making recommendations for patient support and healthcare facility operations to ensure that patient care procedures are integrated in accordance with medical law.

Providing support and coverage for other nurses in case of absence or illness.

MDS Nurse Requirements:

Registered Nurse

CPR Certified

Preferred MDS experience in long term care

Working knowledge of data processing programs such as Point Click Care.

Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

The ability to process a high volume of data.

The ability to make independent judgments utilizing initiative, discretion, and the nursing process, as needed.
