Job Description
Shift:
6:00 AM - 6:30PM Experience:
- 12 months of experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
- 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
- Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
- Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license (required for submission).
- This role will require floating to multiple units
- Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >45 miles from facility to be submitted.
- COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Experience with the shift submitted for (days vs nights) is preferred.Unit Details:
Bedside shift report is expected. Adult Med-Surg population with possible older teens. Common diagnoses include pneumonia, UTI, dehydration, influenza, alcohol withdrawal, respiratory viruses, and post-op orthopedic, general surgery, spinal surgery, and urology patients. High turnover on days; if you discharge a patient, you will get an admit. Titrated drips are used; common drips include heparin, with Bumex and Lasix as set-rate drips. Cardiac tech coverage is available 24/7; RNs are not required to read their own telemetry strips and should contact the cardiac tech if telemetry is ordered. 24/7 nursing supervisor support. Day shift has two charge nurses and night shift has one; charge nurses generally do not take patients. CNA support ratio is 1:8-1:10, and CNAs can perform accu-checks and vital signs. Respiratory support includes trachs, CPAP for OSA, BiPAP, and occasional high-flow oxygen; Respiratory Therapy support is available 24/7.Shift & Scheduling:
No self-scheduling for travel RNs.Weekend requirement:
