We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated nursing professional to provide one-on-one care to a preschool-aged child with complex medical needs. This contract opportunity is ideal for Registered Nurses or Licensed Practical Nurses who thrive working with pediatric populations and enjoy fostering positive learning experiences for students with unique challenges. This position will partner directly with one student, age 4, requiring specialized nursing support throughout the school day due to a tracheostomy and other health considerations. The specific medical details and care plan will be reviewed in more depth during the interview process. The role follows a school scheduleworking five days a week, generally from 8:00 am to 2:45 pm, aligning with typical school hours, for approximately 30.75 hours each week. The assignment will begin as soon as possible and continue through the last day of school in May.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

Current RN or LPN licensure (active and in good standing) within Nebraska Experience with pediatric care; prior work with tracheostomies strongly preferred Skill in personalized, direct nursing for children with medical complexities Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure student well-being Reliable, empathetic, and flexible attitude

Primary Responsibilities:

Offer one-on-one care to a student during the academic day Administer nursing interventions, monitor health status, and respond to emergencies Maintain accurate documentation and communicate regularly with school personnel Adapt to evolving medical or classroom needs as necessary Embark on a fulfilling journey caring for a vibrant young learner and supporting their everyday experiences at school.
