hospital dialysis assignment Responsibilities Administer hemodialysis treatments per physician orders and approved protocols, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Monitor patient status during dialysis, including vital signs, fluid balance, and recognition of potential complications. Set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot dialysis equipment; perform required machine checks and respond to alarms promptly. Document care and treatment in the electronic health record (Cerner) and communicate changes to the nephrology team. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide patient education, maintain infection control standards, and uphold safety policies.
