Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic and rewarding contract role as a general school nurse, where you'll make a meaningful impact on the lives of students each day. As a registered nurse within a school setting, you'll operate at the heart of campus life, supporting student wellness, responding to health needs, and contributing to a safe and nurturing environment—right in the school office.
Key Qualifications:
Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license Experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations is a plus Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills Ability to remain calm, compassionate, and effective under pressure Committed to maintaining confidentiality and upholding health privacy standards Ready to collaborate with school staff and parents
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide routine and emergency care to students encountering illness or injury throughout the school day Administer medications and manage individualized health plans as required Maintain accurate and confidential student health records in compliance with regulations Participate in health screenings such as vision and hearing tests Educate students and teachers on health and wellness topics Track and report communicable illnesses or concerns as directed Serve as a key point of contact for parents/guardians regarding student health needs This contract opportunity offers a fulfilling, structured schedule within the school calendar, and allows you to make a real difference in children's daily experiences.
