Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in a welcoming elementary school health room by providing expert care to young students, including those with diabetes and autism. As a part-time Registered Nurse, you'll play a vital role in supporting students health and wellness, working collaboratively with educators and families to ensure a safe learning environment. Youll work 21 hours a week across three full days, with flexible scheduling available. This contract opportunity is ideal for RNs with a passion for elementary-aged children and specialized experience working with pediatric diabetic and autistic populations. The school currently has nursing support on site two days a week, and your involvement will significantly contribute to expanded, continuous care.
Qualifications:
Current and valid RN license Experience in a school or pediatric healthcare setting strongly preferred Comfort with diabetes care (blood glucose monitoring, insulin administration, emergency protocols) Familiarity in working with students on the autism spectrum Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate daily health services for students, including first aid and medication administration Provide specialized care and monitoring for diabetic and autistic students Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with school policies Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and staff regarding students health needs Educate students and staff on health topics as needed, supporting a healthy school community Enjoy a part-time schedule that offers work-life balance and the chance to make a direct difference.
