Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and friendly Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to primarily provide intravenous (IV) therapies in an outpatient setting focusing on wellness and preventative care. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Reviewing patient medical history and physical information, mixing IV infusions based on patient evaluation and expected outcome of the infusion, IV insertion and maintenance, patient monitoring, and administering any other medications / nutrients intramuscular or subcutaneously that are deemed necessary by your medical judgment and patients expected health outcome.
Key Responsibilities:
Reviewing History and Physical Documentation:
Review documents to ensure the services provided are appropriate for each patient based on their medical and surgical history, allergies, and current medications.
Clinical Documentation:
All documentation will be done in Dr. Chrono's electronic medical record.
IV Therapy Management:
This includes inserting and maintaining IV lines, ensuring proper function, and addressing any complications.
Medication Administration:
Administering IV medications, including nutrients, vitamins, and other prescribed intramuscular or subcutaneous therapies.
Patient Monitoring:
Closely observing patients during infusions for any adverse reactions or complications.
Patient Education:
Providing patients with information about their treatments, potential side effects, and follow-up care.
Following Protocols:
Adhering to established protocols and procedures for IV therapy and medication administration.
Safe and Clean Environment:
Help to ensure the infusion lounge is clean, organized, and meets all safety standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
Active APRN License:
A valid unencumbered New Hampshire Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license is essential.
IV Insertion Skills:
Proficiency in inserting and managing IV lines. Assistance in improving established IV skills available.
Clinical Experience:
Experience in a clinical office or hospital setting, or specific experience with IV therapy, is often preferred.
Strong Communication Skills:
Ability to effectively communicate with patients, other healthcare professionals, and family members.
Detail:
Accuracy in administering medications and monitoring patients.
Multitask:
Managing multiple patients and tasks simultaneously.
Positive Attitude:
Enthusiasm for health and wellness, and the ability to create a welcoming environment for patients.
Schedule:
- 8.5 hour day shift
