Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide expert patient care across various settings, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal health outcomes. Your expertise will support a diverse patient population, including individuals in acute care, long-term care, outpatient clinics, and community health environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while working with cutting-edge medical technologies and EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews using advanced clinical techniques. Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions, immunizations, and other treatments following strict aseptic techniques. Assist with complex procedures such as catheterization, suturing, wound care, and tube feeding while maintaining sterile environments. Monitor patients' conditions closely in various settings such as ICU (Intensive Care Unit), emergency rooms, or outpatient clinics; respond swiftly to changes in status. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized care plans aligned with patient needs and medical documentation standards like ICD-10 coding. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining confidentiality of patient records and sensitive information. Educate patients and their families on health management strategies including chronic disease management, medication administration, and discharge planning. Qualifications Valid RN license with current registration in the state of practice. Proven experience in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, critical care (ICU), emergency medicine, or long-term care facilities. Strong proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation. Knowledge of advanced nursing procedures including IV insertion, phlebotomy, ventilator management, and infection control protocols. Familiarity with specialized areas such as cardiology (cardiac catheterization), ophthalmology (including post-op care), dialysis nursing, hospice & palliative medicine, geriatrics (memory care & dementia), behavioral health, trauma medicine (Level I & II Trauma Centers), pediatric nursing (PICU & neonatal ventilators), and occupational health settings. Ability to perform physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations confidently; skilled in specimen collection/processing and laboratory experience. Excellent communication skills for triage assessments, patient education, case management, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges. Certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) are required; additional certifications like ACLS or PALS are preferred for specialized roles.
