1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week ICU travel assignment in Manchester, NH, requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience and telemetry skills with a minimum PCU background. Details Mixed medical and surgical ICU setting in a hospital environment 20-bed ICU unit on Floor C Day shift: 7:00 AM-7:00 PM Patient ratios vary by acuity: ECMO 2:1, post open-heart surgery or critical/device patients 1:1, typical ICU assignment 1:2, stepdown 1:3-4 Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 8-10 RNs, 1-3 LNAs, and a PRN sitter Equipment includes IV pumps, telemetry monitors, Hoyer/stand lifts, Impella, IABP, CRRT (NxStage), bladder scanner, Bair Hugger, rapid transfuser, Blanketrol, chest tubes, vein finder, Sorin retransfuser, ventilator, high-flow nasal cannula,
BiPAP/CPAP EMR:
Sunrise Floating to Progressive Care unit required Every third weekend required; no on-call responsibilities Requirements Active NH or Compact RN license required — must be in hand prior to consideration Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment) NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required for ICU RNs Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required Telemetry experience required; PCU-level experience or higher preferred US SSN and DOB required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months One professional reference required Additional Information Typical procedures include pericardiocentesis with indwelling drains, thoracentesis, central line insertion, arterial line insertion, chest tube insertion, intubation, TEE/TTE cardioversion, and transvenous pacing wire insertion Preferred candidates will have experience with critical drips and ventilator management, as well as prior ICU experience Ideal candidate is organized but easily adaptable Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible No dress code specified — scrub color is open
