1 Description American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiovascular Surgical Stepdown Unit (CSSU) position requiring strong telemetry skills and vasoactive medication titration experience on night shift. Details Cardiovascular Surgical Stepdown Unit within a Level 2 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center 15-bed unit with 4:1 patient ratios 1-2 LNA support staff available Uses GE Monitors, Hamilton Bipap and Hiflo, Baxter IV Pumps, and Hemospheres equipment Documentation completed in Meditech Expanse Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Scheduled for 12 shifts per month (3 shifts per week) including 4 weekend shifts per month Floating required on a rotation basis with travelers floating first Central monitor station used for patient monitoring Requirements Active RN license (NH or Compact) currently in hand Current certifications: BLS and ACLS Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Strong telemetry skills required Experience titrating vasoactive medications such as levophed, phenylephrine, dopamine, and dobutamine required Chest tube experience required Arterial line, Flo-Trac, and temporary pacing experience preferred Scrubs required (any color) Additional Information Provide care for cardiovascular and vascular surgery patients including pre-op prep for cardiovascular surgery Assist with procedures including temporary pacing, chest-tube removal, and arterial line removal Mobility team support available on the unit MyCare board updated each shift during bedside shift report, with bedside shift report completed at every change of shift Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
