The Circulating RN plays a critical role in coordinating safe, efficient patient care throughout the perioperative experience. This position involves advocating for patients, maintaining a safe and organized operating room, and ensuring the surgical team has the necessary equipment, supplies, and support before, during, and after procedures.
Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the patient's advocate throughout the perioperative experience.
Perform preoperative assessments, patient verification, and surgical-site confirmation.
Ensure all required documentation, consents, equipment, and supplies are available before procedures.
Maintain a safe, sterile, organized, and efficient operating room environment.
Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other members of the surgical team.
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and promptly obtain necessary supplies and equipment.
Monitor and support patient safety throughout the surgical procedure.
Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with applicable regulatory and safety standards.
What We're Looking ForExperience:
Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room experience in a circulating RN role. Candidates with 1+ year of relevant OR experience are encouraged to apply.Clinical Setting:
Previous Operating Room experience is required.License:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire.Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and patient safety standards.
Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
A proactive "can-do" attitude and commitment to clinical excellence.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume surgical environment.
