Qualifications & Experience:

Current NJ RN license required Prior experience working in a school setting or pediatric environment preferred Comfortable and confident caring for students with special needs Proficiency with g-tube feedings, tracheostomy care, seizure management, and cerebral palsy support Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and staff Strong organizational and critical-thinking skills Compassionate demeanor and patient, reassuring approach

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the health room, providing medical care to students throughout the school day Monitor and manage chronic conditions, including g-tubes, trachs, and seizure disorders Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records Collaborate with educational and support staff to ensure holistic care Educate students and staff on health practices as needed Respond promptly to medical emergencies and communicate effectively with guardians and emergency personnel This assignment runs from as soon as possible through the end of the school year and offers a meaningful way to put your nursing skills to use in a supportive and impactful setting.
