Full Job Description Facility Description:
Ophthalmology Ambulatory Surgery Center with one Operating Room suite.
Accountabilities / Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse in this position will provide care to the surgical patients in Pre-op and PACU for patients undergoing Ophthalmic procedures including cataracts. The nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care during the pre and post-operative period and is responsible for the achievement of patient outcomes in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of the facility. Per Diem Position Available (Tuesday/ Wednesday)
Key Responsibilities :
Ability to correlate clinical data with patient's medical and nursing care. Ability to communicate well with patients, families, teammates, physicians, other members of the healthcare team. Assesses, plans, evaluates and ensures the implementation of the patient's care to achieve identified outcomes and delivers safe patient care according to facility policy and procedure. Utilizes nursing care standards when planning and implementing patient care. Ability to administer medications including eye drops and pills. Qualifications Current
NJ/ NY RN
license required
BLS / ACLS
certified Ambulatory surgical center experience preferred Ophthalmology experience preferred - not required
