Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care across diverse clinical settings, ensuring safety, comfort, and effective treatment. Your expertise will support patient recovery, promote health education, and coordinate care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews. Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols while ensuring aseptic techniques. Manage complex medical procedures such as IV infusions, catheterizations, suturing, and wound care. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks to document patient information meticulously and maintain medical records in compliance with HIPAA standards. Collaborate with physicians and specialists in areas such as cardiology, ophthalmology, infectious disease care, trauma medicine, or geriatrics to develop and implement personalized care plans. Provide patient education on health management topics including pain management, medication administration, nutrition, and discharge planning. Support emergency response efforts by performing basic life support (BLS), airway management, triage assessments, and critical care interventions as needed. Assist with laboratory specimen collection/processing and diagnostic evaluations to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Work with individuals with disabilities or those requiring long-term or hospice care to ensure compassionate support tailored to their unique needs. Qualifications Valid RN license in the state of employment with current certification to practice nursing. Proven experience in acute care settings such as ICU, emergency room, hospital medicine, or trauma centers; Level I or Level II trauma center experience highly preferred. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for efficient documentation. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for procedures and billing purposes. Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics (neonatal ventilator), geriatrics (memory/dementia care), behavioral health patients or individuals with developmental disabilities. Skilled in performing advanced procedures such as tube feeding management, gastrostomy care, ostomy care, spinal taps, or dialysis support when applicable. Ability to handle high-pressure situations involving acute pain management or trauma medicine while maintaining professionalism and empathy. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams and delivering clear patient education. $41.00 - $61.50 per hour
