Overview Paul Phillips Eye & Surgery Center, a leading provider of ophthalmology services in Hunterdon and Somerset counties, is seeking a highly reliable and skilled, per diem, registered nurse to work one to two days a month. The ideal candidate will possess strong intravenous skills to be able to perform IV fluorescein angiography per the physicians' orders.

Responsibilities:

Prepare patients for IVFA procedures, including reviewing medical histories and obtaining informed consents. Perform IV fluorescein angiography and other diagnostic testing, as ordered. Work closely with physicians and staff to coordinate patient flow for procedures. Recognize and manage any adverse reactions to fluorescein dye. Educate patients about the IVFA procedure and possible transient side effects. Provide reassurance to calm patients. Document accurately in electronic health record.

Qualifications:

Valid registered nurse license (NJ) IV therapy certification is highly desired Basic Life Support (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) EMR documentation proficiency Confident and compassionate interpersonal skills. Hours:

Per diem, one to two days a month. Days will be determined in advance and may fluctuate based on evolving physician and patient needs. Additional hours and flexibility may be available. Pay:

$38.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 4.0 - 8.0 per week
