Qualifications Minimum Education :

Required:

Bachelor s Degree in Nursing required. If Associates Degree or Diploma must be enrolled in BSN program and completed within 4 years of hire. Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation) :

Required:

Two (2) years oncology clinical experience

Preferred:

One year acute care experience; radiation oncology experience highly preferred

License, Registry or Certification :

Required:

Current NJ RN licensure and American Heart Association CPR certification

Preferred:

Certification in specialty - OCN or related certification Knowledge, Skills and/or

Abilities :

Required:

Skilled in applying the nursing process to address the physical, psychosocial and education needs of patient and families; Excellent communication and critical thinking skills; strong computer skills; flexibility and ability to work independently; Calm under pressure.

Preferred:

Venipuncture skills. Familiarity with radiation oncology procedures, including but not limited to brachytherapy procedures.
