1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Dept position requiring 3+ years of ED experience and NJ or compact RN licensure. Details Level II Emergency Department providing 24/7 care to patients of all ages Separate Pediatric ED (Hersh Pediatric Center) apart from the main ED Approximately 150 visits per day across 47 rooms Patient ratios of 1:4-6, varying with census and acuity Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM Every other weekend required No on-call requirement Holiday coverage required based on unit needs Epic charting experience preferred Floating required within skillset without exception Requirements Active NJ or compact RN license required Certifications required:
ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS
Minimum 3 years of ED experience required Pediatric experience preferred Skilled in triage, ABG interpretation, STEMI and stroke alerts, TTM, intubation, and isolation precautions Experience with blood product administration, phlebotomy, and IV starts/maintenance Proficient in 12-lead EKG acquisition and dysrhythmia interpretation/management Experience managing multisystem organ dysfunction/failure Skilled in psychiatric emergencies including acute psychosis, overdose, and managing violent or suicidal patients Experience administering continuous IV paralytics, sedation, vasopressors, and emergency medications Must be fully vaccinated including COVID booster Additional Information Facility is an Advanced Primary Stroke Center and accredited Chest Pain Center 284-bed community teaching hospital part of a leading NJ integrated healthcare network Black scrubs required Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2 weeks First-time travelers welcome to apply Local candidates accepted at the same rate
