Part-Time | 24 hours/week | Flexible 3-day schedule $37-$39/hour | Malpractice coverage included Beautiful, modern, fully equipped facility Collaborative, mission-driven team environment Bilingual (Spanish) candidates strongly encouraged to apply Position Overview The Staff Nurse is a vital member of the clinical team, providing high-quality primary and preventive healthcare to a multi-cultural, uninsured population. This role operates within a "Culture of Caring" that is respectful of patients and supportive of medical excellence. When required, the Staff Nurse may serve as a clinical lead to oversee patient flow and ensure nursing coverage.
Duties and Responsibilities Clinical Care & Treatment:
Collaborative Care:
Work with practitioners and nurse managers as part of a treatment team to address urgent, chronic, and preventive healthcare needs.
Patient Support:
Assist practitioners in providing care both on-site and via telehealth platforms.
Assessment:
Accurately take and record vital signs and other clinical visit information within the EMR.
Education:
Provide healthcare education to patients and facilitate referrals to necessary ancillary services.
Leadership & Supervision:
Operational Oversight:
Fill in as Charge Nurse as needed, supervising nursing staff and overseeing patient flow to maintain clinic efficiency.
Volunteer Support:
Work effectively with BVMI's large volunteer medical staff to ensure seamless clinical operations.
Systems & Documentation:
EMR Utilization:
Maintain proficiency in the EMR system for all patient documentation.
Compliance:
Adhere to all clinical protocols and safety standards as established by the Director of Nursing.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
Licensure:
Current, unrestricted RN licensure in the State of New Jersey.
Experience:
Previous experience in a fast-paced primary care practice or hospital-based ambulatory service.
Skills:
Excellent interpersonal communication skills; knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) with the ability to train others.
Language:
