• Licensed Practical Nurse for its Pediatric Care Center in Whippany, NJ .

Team Member will be the Care Coordinator in addition to providing professional nursing care for Care Center patients following established standards and practices. . Assists physicians and staff in coordinating patient care. Job Responsibilities In charge of Practice Quality Metrics. Handling patient phone calls. Refills and lab review. Provides general nursing care to patients. May administer prescribed medications, immunizations and treatments in accordance with nursing standards. Maintains exam rooms for necessary supplies and materials. Prepares list of medical supplies needed. Ensures cleanliness. Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment, examination and testing of patients. Observes, records and reports patient's condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians. Educates patient/family about diagnostic procedures, medications, nutrition and maintenance of health and wellness. Ensures appointment preferences are given to patients in emergency situations. Greets patients and prepares them for physician examination. Screens patients for appropriation information. Instruct patients in collection of samples and tests. Maintains/reviews patient records, charts and other pertinent information. Posts tests and examination results. Responds to/refers incoming patient treatment-related phone calls. Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions. Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements RN degree required but BSN preferred. Experience NOT Necessary. Required Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations Valid NJ State RN or LPN License. CPR certification required and maintained.
