Per Diem Outpatient Surgery Center Nurse - Pre/Post Op Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Per Diem Outpatient Surgery Center Nurse specializing in pre-operative and post-operative care. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient recovery and comfort in a fast-paced outpatient setting. We are committed to providing exceptional patient care and fostering a collaborative, supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess patients' health status before surgery and prepare them for procedures Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition during pre-operative and post-operative phases Administer medications and treatments as prescribed Educate patients and their families on post-operative care instructions and recovery processes Document patient information accurately and maintain detailed medical records Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies during the perioperative period
Skills and Qualifications:
Valid NJ RN license, ACLS, BLS certifications Proven experience in outpatient surgery, pre-op, and post-op nursing preferred Strong assessment and critical thinking skills Excellent communication and patient education abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Flexibility to work per diem shifts Knowledge of surgical procedures, anesthesia protocols, and infection control standards We value dedicated healthcare professionals who are committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
