Responsibilities Provide nursing care, education, and support to patients receiving HIV-related services and preventative care. Administer immunizations and medications in accordance with established protocols and standing orders. Perform STI screening, specimen collection, testing coordination, and patient follow-up. Deliver HIV prevention education, risk-reduction counseling, and PrEP-related support services. Provide overdose prevention education and distribute Naloxone (Narcan) as appropriate. Conduct patient assessments and coordinate referrals to medical, behavioral health, substance use treatment, and community resources. Educate patients regarding HIV, hepatitis, sexually transmitted infections, chronic disease management, safer sex practices, and harm reduction strategies. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with state, federal, and organizational requirements. Monitor inventory, supplies, vaccines, and clinical equipment. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, reporting requirements, and program data collection. Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to support patient engagement and continuity of care. Qualifications Active New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required based on licensure standards. Minimum two years of community health, public health, ambulatory care, infectious disease, or related nursing experience. Experience working with underserved populations strongly preferred. Phlebotomy experience or blood collection skills preferred. Knowledge of HIV care, STI prevention, harm reduction, substance use treatment, or community-based healthcare is highly desirable.
