This is a Full-Time position for Day shift 6:45am

• 7:15pm your days will vary, with every other weekend.

Basic Function A Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing the initial nursing assessment on all new admissions, completing follow-up with clients during treatment and arranging and coordinating all medical appointments for clients. The RN also administers medications and maintains accurate records in clients' medical chart. Ensures adequate medical supplies are available at all times, and secures necessary medical history on all clients. Essential Function Administers medications such as methadone or buprenorphine in accordance with federal and state regulations and monitors client responses. Conduct nursing intakes, screenings, and health education Collaborate with counselors, physicians, and case managers to support individualized treatment plans Arranges appropriate appointments with Health Care Providers to complete physical examinations, including required additional health screenings and supplemental tests. Administers medications and maintain accurate medication supply records. Maintains adequate inventory of medical supplies in compliance with governing regulations and agency policy. Ensures proper storage of supplies as required by regulation. Assists in the facilitation of special events, including, but not limited to: staff trainings, staff retreats, workshops and facility events. Participates in treatment/multidisciplinary team meetings, as directed. Implements and assures adherence to Infection Control policies and practices. Provides education for clients regarding health, nutrition, safety, and medication compliance. Manages Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Writes and maintains updated multidisciplinary treatment plans for clients based on client needs. 1. Performs other responsibilities and duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of health care issues pertaining to substance use disorders is required, including but not limited to mental health needs, women's health issues, HIV/AIDs, and other communicable diseases.
• Knowledge of accurate record keeping in accordance with regulatory agencies and standards is required.
• Knowledge of nutritional requirements and practices is required.
• Knowledge of therapeutic communication techniques is required.
• Must be able to work with clients to gain confidence and cooperation while maintaining boundaries.
• Excellent prioritization and time management skills is required.
• Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills are needed to maintain accurate records and reports.
• Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, staff, health care providers, outside agencies, institutions and the general public.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Outlook) is required.

Minimum Requirements Education:

Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing is required. Current RN license in good standing in New Jersey is required. Current First Aid/CPR Certification issued by the American Red Cross or the American Red Cross Association required.

Experience:

May be recent graduate of approved nursing school or a minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience.

Sobriety:

If recovering, must have at least two (2) years of continuous sobriety and maintain sobriety throughout employment.
