Hour Shifts Every Other Weekend Required Three Holidays Required No On-Call Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team. The RN will provide specialized nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients while collaborating with physicians, multidisciplinary teams, and patient families to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate pediatric patients and assist physicians with treatment plans Plan, implement, and document individualized nursing care Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing evaluations Develop and coordinate patient care plans based on clinical needs Deliver therapeutic nursing interventions using evidence-based practices Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes appropriately Advocate for evidence-based nursing care standards Provide patient-centered care aligned with nursing practice models Float to Pediatrics, NICU, and Pediatric Holding in the ED as needed Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for continuity of care
Requirements:
Associate Degree in Nursing required Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required BSN preferred Active New Jersey RN License or Compact RN License required AHA BLS Certification required PALS Certification required Telemetry Certification required Minimum 1-2 years of PICU experience required Experience caring for critically ill pediatric patients required Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills required Ability to work efficiently in high-acuity environments required For more details contact at or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
