About us The Surgery Center of Central New Jersey is a well-established Ambulatory Surgery Center in North Brunswick, NJ, specializing in ophthalmologic surgery. We are AAAHC accredited , reflecting our commitment to the highest standards of patient safety, quality, and compliance. Our center features two operating rooms and a supportive, team-focused environment. Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Pre-Post-Op Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and make a difference in the lives of our patients. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Admitting and preparing patients for surgery Verifying patient identity, surgical site, and procedure in compliance with safety protocols Maintaining strict aseptic and sterile techniques to prevent infection Monitoring patients' vital signs and overall status before and after procedures Administering medications as directed, including ophthalmic drops, IV fluids, and pre/post-op medications Collaborating with anesthesia providers to ensure safe patient care Safely discharge patients and provide post-operative instructions Completing all required documentation in accordance with facility policy, NJDOH regulations, AAAHC standards, and federal guidelines Participating in quality assurance, infection prevention, and safety initiatives within the ASC Graduate of an accredited nursing program (required) Current RN license in New Jersey (required) Previous perioperative or ophthalmology experience preferred Strong organizational, critical thinking, and assessment skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Compassionate, patient-focused approach to careBenefits Health and dental insurance Life insurance Paid time off and sick leave Tuition reimbursement Supportive, collaborative work environment
