Gifted Healthcare seeks a Neuro RN for travel or local contracts in Morristown, NJ. The Neuro RN will deliver evidence-based care to patients with neurological conditions, including stroke and post-surgical cases. Responsibilities include comprehensive neuro assessments, timely interventions, medication administration, and close collaboration with physicians and allied teams. Nurses will use EMR systems, follow stroke and neuro protocols, educate patients and families, and contribute to a culture focused on safe, high-quality care, flexibility, and professional growth. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive neuro assessments and ongoing monitoring for stroke and neurological patients Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per provider orders and protocols Implement and follow stroke and neuro care pathways to support optimal outcomes Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the EMR accurately and timely Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and ancillary staff to coordinate multidisciplinary care Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care needs Respond to changes in patient condition, escalating concerns and initiating interventions promptly Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control guidelines Required Skills Neuro assessment and monitoring IV therapy and medication administration Stroke protocol management Care planning and coordination EMR documentation Patient and family education Acute care nursing Telemetry monitoring Critical thinking and triage Interdisciplinary collaboration
