December 30, 2025 Basic Function Maryville Integrated Care is seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with a FNP or AGNP specialization to provide high-quality medical care across our inpatient and outpatient Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment programs. The APN will oversee medical protocols, conduct patient assessments, manage medications including Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), and coordinate care across multiple sites.

Essential Functions:

• Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations, including history & physicals (H&Ps) for all SUD patients.
• Develop, implement, and monitor medical and detox protocols in accordance with evidence-based practices and organizational policies.
• Establish and maintain ongoing patient visits, including follow-ups and care coordination.
• Manage all aspects of medication administration, including prescribing and monitoring MAT (e.g., buprenorphine, methadone, naltrexone) and other psychotropic medications.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including counselors, therapists, and case managers, to ensure integrated patient care.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans, medications, and recovery strategies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulations.
• Travel between assigned sites as needed to provide consistent patient care.

Qualifications:

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP)
• Current, unrestricted RN and APN license in New Jersey.
• DEA registration and ability to prescribe controlled substances.
• Experience in addiction medicine, behavioral health, or SUD treatment strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) protocols.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and patient management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork abilities.
• FNP or AGNP certification
• Ability to work independently and across multiple locations.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

• Ability to travel between sites as required.
• Ability to manage a fast-paced clinical environment with patients experiencing acute withdrawal and psychiatric symptoms.
