Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse, where your expertise will directly impact patient care and recovery. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive nursing services across diverse clinical settings, including acute care, long-term care, outpatient clinics, and specialized units such as ICU, emergency room, and pediatrics. Your proactive approach and compassionate nature will ensure patients receive the highest quality of care while adhering to strict safety and compliance standards. Duties Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to inform individualized care plans. Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions and medication management per physician orders. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks for documentation of patient care activities. Assist with diagnostic procedures like laboratory specimen collection, phlebotomy, catheterization, and sterile processing to support clinical evaluations. Provide specialized care for patients with complex needs such as trauma medicine, infectious disease management, hospice & palliative medicine, or behavioral health issues. Manage airway techniques, ventilator support, wound suturing, ostomy care, and other advanced procedures with aseptic technique. Coordinate discharge planning and case management to ensure seamless transitions across inpatient and outpatient settings while complying with HIPAA regulations. Skills Proven experience in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I/II trauma centers with familiarity in trauma medicine and acute pain management. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and diagnostic evaluation processes. Skilled in working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities, and those requiring memory or dementia care. Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation and patient records management. Expertise in various nursing specialties such as cardiology (cardiac catheterization), nephrology (dialysis), ophthalmology (including CT imaging), occupational health, home & community care experience, and assisted living environments. Ability to perform advanced procedures including tube feeding management, spinal tap (lumbar puncture), gastrostomy care, and IV insertion with precision. Excellent communication skills for triage assessments, patient education on health coaching topics like nutrition or family planning, and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
