7:00 AM - End of cases (varies based on daily schedule) Key Responsibilities Prepare the operating room by ensuring all sterile equipment, supplies, and instruments are available and properly processed. Assist surgeons and the surgical team with patient positioning, instrument handling, and maintenance of a sterile field. Perform preoperative and intraoperative patient assessments and ensure safety protocols are followed. Monitor patient status during procedures, including vital signs and response to anesthesia (in collaboration with anesthesia team). Administer medications in accordance with physician orders and facility policies. Support post-operative care, including patient monitoring, pain management, and discharge readiness. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system. Ensure compliance with infection control standards, aseptic technique, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure seamless patient care throughout the surgical experience. Qualifications & Experience Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey
BLS/ACLS
certification required Prior experience in Operating Room or Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) preferred Strong knowledge of sterile technique, infection control, and perioperative nursing practices Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment Experience with EMR/EHR systems preferred Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills Preferred Experience Orthopedic and/or pain management procedures Pre-op, intra-op (circulating/scrub), and PACU experience IV therapy and medication administration Patient education and discharge planning Why Join Us?
