This full-time, onsite contract position near West New York, NJ offers the opportunity to be an essential part of a kindergarten student's daily success and well-being within a caring school environment. You'll work 35-37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from approximately 7:50/8am to 3pm, providing one-on-one nursing care to a medically fragile, wheelchair-bound student who needs expert and compassionate support.

Key Qualifications:

Hold a valid RN or LPN/LVN license in New Jersey School nursing experience strongly preferred Solid background in working with medically fragile pediatric populations Proficient in g-tube care and medication administration Comfortable managing the health needs of students in a classroom and school bus environment Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families

Responsibilities:

Provide individualized nursing care for one kindergarten student throughout the school day, including during bus rides to and from school Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to changes in health status Administer medications and manage g-tube feedings as ordered Ensure safe transfer and mobility for a wheelchair-bound student Keep clear records of all care and interventions provided Serve as a health advocate and resource for school staff and the student's family This role is available ASAP and continues through the end of the school year, with a strong possibility to extend into the Extended School Year (ESY) assignment for the same student.
