1 Description American Traveler is seeking a travel-experienced RN for an Operating Room position at a short-term acute care hospital, requiring Epic proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of OR experience. Details Short-term acute care hospital with 61 total staff beds Operating Room unit with a 1:1 patient ratio Specialty case mix includes orthopedic, general, gynecological, and podiatric procedures Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM On-call is required: 1-2 weekday call shifts and 1-2 weekend call shifts per month No weekend requirement beyond on-call obligations Epic EMR experience required Floating between facilities within the state is expected of all travelers Requirements Active NM or Compact RN license required Current BLS certification required Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience required Proficiency in orthopedic, general, gynecological, and podiatric surgical cases Epic EMR experience required At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information Navy scrubs are required for all RN staff Parking is free in any unrestricted space Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility Minimal RTO is strongly preferred; limited time-off requests may be considered All RTO requests must be disclosed prior to submission, as post-offer requests may be denied and failure to honor the agreed schedule could result in contract termination Travel experience in the OR is required — first-time travelers will not be considered
