Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU & OR Circulator | Los Alamos, NM Our client is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to join their Perioperative Services team in Los Alamos, New Mexico. We are actively hiring nurses with experience in either Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Operating Room (OR) Circulator, or both. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative surgical services environment while delivering exceptional patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Surgical Services / Perioperative Services Required Qualifications Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher. Active and unrestricted RN License. Current BLS Certification. Current New Mexico RN License or Compact RN License. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced perioperative environment. Additional Requirements PALS Certification required within 3 months of hire. One year of nursing experience preferred. Ability to participate in rotating weekends, holidays, and on-call schedules as needed. About the Role The Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care in either the Operating Room or Post-Anesthesia Care Unit while collaborating with physicians, anesthesiologists, surgeons, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent critical thinking abilities, and a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality surgical patient care. PACU RN Responsibilities Monitor and care for patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures. Assess patient condition and respond to changing clinical needs. Administer medications, treatments, and pain management interventions. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Educate patients and families regarding post-operative recovery and discharge instructions. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. PACU Preferred Experience Minimum 1 year of PACU experience preferred. Knowledge of post-anesthesia recovery protocols. Experience monitoring patients during the immediate post-operative period. OR Circulator RN Responsibilities Coordinate and manage patient care throughout the surgical process. Prepare operating rooms and ensure all equipment and supplies are available. Serve as the patient advocate during surgical procedures. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists. Ensure compliance with sterile technique and patient safety standards. Monitor patient status throughout procedures and maintain accurate documentation. OR Circulator Preferred Experience Previous Operating Room or Circulator experience preferred. Knowledge of surgical procedures and perioperative nursing practices. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
