For more than 70 years, the facility has provided high-quality healthcare services to Northern New Mexico through emergency care, surgical services, inpatient and outpatient care, diagnostic imaging, laboratory services, and specialty physician practices. Position Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) - Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is responsible for delivering direct and indirect nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures. The RN utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and optimal recovery outcomes. Key Responsibilities Provide direct and indirect patient care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans. Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures. Identify and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Evaluate patient responses to treatment and interventions. Meet the physical, emotional, psychosocial, and cultural needs of patients and families. Communicate effectively with physicians, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members. Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and patient safety standards. Required Qualifications Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program. Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Minimum of 1 year of PACU nursing experience. Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills. Additional Requirements Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 3 months of employment. Previous PACU or post-operative nursing experience preferred. Schedule Full-Time Rotating weekends (every third weekend or as scheduled) Participation in on-call rotation Holiday coverage as required Flexibility in scheduling may be required based on department needs VB_

$65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
