On-site (Remote work not available; candidates must report to the designated facility) Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - OR Circulator to join our surgical services team in Los Alamos, NM. The OR Circulator RN is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients before, during, and after operative procedures. This role serves as the patient advocate throughout the surgical process, ensuring patient safety, adherence to sterile techniques, and effective communication among the surgical team. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee patient care throughout the perioperative experience. Prepare operating rooms and ensure all necessary surgical equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly. Conduct pre-operative assessments and verify patient information, consent forms, and surgical procedures. Maintain a sterile environment and ensure compliance with infection control standards. Monitor patient condition during surgical procedures and document relevant clinical information. Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Advocate for patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process. Assist with post-operative patient care and handoff communications. Ensure compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and professional nursing standards. Required Qualifications Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required. Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment. Preferred Qualifications Previous Operating Room (OR) or Perioperative Nursing experience preferred. Knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and sterile techniques. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Benefits Competitive compensation package.
