1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Rural ICU/Med-Surg position requiring at least 3 years of experience and certifications including ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP. Details Rural hospital setting serving adult med-surg, pediatric med-surg, and step-down patient populations Cares for a diverse patient population including pediatric, geriatric, and general adult patients Night shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM 13-week contract Requirements Active NM or Compact RN license currently in hand Minimum 3 years of RN experience required Required certifications:

ACLS, BLS/BCLS, PALS, NRP

Ability to perform head-to-toe assessments and reassessments across all age groups including pediatric and geriatric populations Ability to assist physicians with procedures requiring technical and manual skills Demonstrated ability to operate medical equipment safely and correctly Additional Information Responsibilities span ICU-level and med-surg care in a rural hospital environment Performs comprehensive assessments and adapts plans of care based on patient response to treatment Develops and evaluates patient and family teaching plans based on identified learning needs Functions as a liaison between administration, patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers Utilizes an interdisciplinary approach by consulting other departments as appropriate Addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and spiritual needs of patients and families Coordinates with social services and discharge planning for both in-hospital and post-discharge needs
