Prepare and maintain the operating room, equipment, instruments, and sterile field. Perform circulating nurse duties and/or scrub responsibilities based on experience and departmental needs. Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers during surgical procedures. Monitor patients throughout the perioperative process and respond to changes in patient condition. Maintain strict sterile technique and adhere to infection prevention and patient safety standards. Accurately document patient care in the electronic health record (EHR). Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other members of the surgical team to deliver outstanding patient care. Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to callback assignments as required. Requirements:
Qualifications Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license from any U.S. state or territory Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room (OR) nursing experience required PACU/Post-Anesthesia Care Unit experience preferred Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required Experience circulating in the operating room required; scrub experience preferred (if applicable) Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills Previous Indian Health Service (IHS) experience is a plus Must be a U.S. citizen Must be able to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance Required immunizations must be current
