responsibilities. This includes care of patients before and after surgical or procedural interventions requiring anesthesia or sedation. This role includes pre-operative assessment and preparation, and post-anesthesia monitoring and recovery. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of perioperative nursing, an ability to manage multiple priorities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care. areas.

MINIMUM MANDATORY

qualifications

Experience:

3 years previous nursing experience in

ASCU/PACU

Associate's Degree (or higher) in Nursing from an accredited college or university.

Mandatory Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications:

Current and valid nursing license in the State of New Mexico, or compact state. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills; excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems. Adherence to Holy Cross Medical Center (HCMC) policies surrounding patient safety, infection control, and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Skill in oral and written communication in dealing with a variety of individuals. Compassionate, patient-focused, and adaptable to the dynamic needs of a rural healthcare setting. A record of satisfactory performance in all prior and current employment as evidenced by positive employment references from previous and current employers. Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Position requires scheduled shifts to cover the surgical schedule. Position requires individuals to assume "on call" duty on a rotating basis. Call required to cover evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. Preferred qualifications Bilingual skills in English and Spanish languages. Previous Super User experience with Meditech Bachelors in Nursing preferred. American Society of perioperative nurses (ASPAN) certification and Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse (CAPA) certification are preferred.
