5x8H Days 7:00am•3:30pm Duties Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary equipment, supplies, and sterile instruments are available and properly maintained prior to procedures. Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures by passing instruments, managing supplies, and maintaining a sterile environment. Monitor patient vital signs continuously throughout surgery, assessing for any signs of distress or complications. Administer medications, including anesthesia agents and analgesics, following physician orders while adhering to safety protocols. Document all aspects of patient care accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide post-operative care by assessing patient recovery status, managing pain, and facilitating safe transfer to recovery units or inpatient settings. Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols throughout all phases of perioperative care. Requirements Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) with minimum 2 years circulator experience required. Travel experience, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required. Call required 1-2 times during the week (Mon-Thurs) and every 4th•5th weekend. Weekend call coverage is from 3:30pm Friday until 7:00am on Monday.
