Apheresis Experienced is a must have, candidates applying without the must have experience will not be considered. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Apheresis within a Med Surg environment to join a high-acuity healthcare facility in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in apheresis procedures, strong IV skills, and the ability to work with both adult and pediatric populations in inpatient and outpatient settings.

Friday Hours:
7:00 AM - 3:30 PM No on-call requirement Key Responsibilities Perform apheresis procedures using specialized equipment (e.g., Spectra Optia, Cellex) Provide nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings Assess, monitor, and manage patients undergoing apheresis treatments Utilize strong IV skills, including management of AV fistulas and Vortex ports Conduct thorough nursing assessments and respond to patient condition changes Document care accurately in the electronic medical record system Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards Required Qualifications Active New York State RN License/Registration Minimum 1.5-2 years of recent acute care experience (within the last 2 years) At least 1 year of hands-on apheresis experience Proficiency with Spectra Optia and Cellex systems Strong IV skills, including experience with AV fistulas and Vortex ports Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain/renew) Experience working in hospitals of similar or higher acuity Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills Legal authorization to work in the United States Ability to pass pre-employment health screening, drug test, and background check Preferred Qualifications Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Centers Familiarity with EPIC Electronic Medical Records Compliance Requirements No history of professional license suspension or investigation No involvement as a defendant in professional liability claims Additional Notes Patient population includes both adults and pediatrics Excessive time off requests or fixed scheduling preferences may not be approved For more details reach at sthakur@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 732 791 4807 - EXT 4807 .
