Mandatory Requirements to Apply Active RN license Minimum 2 years of recent Step-Down/PCU experience Community hospital experience required BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Strong cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills Experience with cardiac drip titration and emergency medications Experience managing BiPAP/CPAP and respiratory failure patients Experience with post-cardiac catheterization, TR bands, and post-vascular procedure monitoring PICC line management, IV therapy, and blood product administration experience Strong neurological assessment and acute stroke management skills Must complete and pass an onsite telemetry test; two attempts allowed Must meet all credentialing requirements 2. Roles & Responsibilities Provide comprehensive Step-Down/PCU nursing care with an approximate 1:4-5 patient ratio . Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize dysrhythmias, titrate cardiac drips, and respond to changes in patient condition. Manage patients requiring BiPAP/CPAP, respiratory support, and post-cardiac or vascular procedure monitoring. Perform neurological assessments and provide appropriate care for acute stroke patients. Manage IV therapy, PICC lines, blood products, medications, and accurate clinical documentation. 3.
