Position Overview The Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care to the incarcerated population, administer medications and treatments, assess patient conditions, and collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare staff to ensure quality care delivery. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing patient evaluations Administer medications, treatments, and immunizations as prescribed Respond to medical emergencies and provide urgent nursing interventions Monitor chronic and acute medical conditions Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record Coordinate care with physicians, nurse practitioners, mental health professionals, and ancillary staff Educate patients regarding health conditions, medications, and wellness practices Ensure compliance with facility policies, infection control standards, and nursing regulations Participate in intake screenings and discharge planning as required Requirements Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License BLS Certification required Minimum of 1 year of RN experience preferred Correctional, psychiatric, emergency room, medical-surgical, or long-term care experience a plus Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills Ability to work effectively in a secure correctional healthcare environment Schedule Options Day Shift Evening Shift Night Shift Weekend Opportunities Available Apply today to learn more about this exciting Registered Nurse opportunity in Bedford Hills, NY!
