3x12.5 Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM | 37.5Hours/Week Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Pediatric Emergency Department Registered Nurse to provide high-acuity emergency care for pediatric patients in a fast-paced acute care trauma center environment.Requirements:
Minimum 2 years recent Pediatric Emergency Department experience required Formal Pediatric Triage training required Current NYS RN License required Majority of recent experience must be in dedicated Pediatric ED setting Acute care hospital experience required Strong pediatric emergency assessment and triage skills required Ability to work independently in high-acuity emergency settings required Excellent communication and teamwork skills required English proficiency required (Read, Write, Speak) Associate Degree in Nursing or higher required AHA BLS certification required PALS preferred ACLS preferredEPIC EMR
experience highly preferred Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center experience highly preferred Adult Emergency Department experience preferredResponsibilities:
Provide emergency nursing care to pediatric patients in acute care ED setting Perform rapid patient assessments and pediatric triage Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions accurately Administer medications and treatments per physician orders Respond effectively to emergency and trauma situations Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams Maintain accurate documentation withinEPIC EMR
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care Ensure compliance with ED protocols and patient safety standards Recognize and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition Support safe and efficient patient flow within the emergency department Maintain infection control and safety protocols Deliver compassionate care in high-stress emergency situationsAdditional Details:
